Wrapping Up Another School Year!

Don't you just love how teachers save all the big projects for the last month of school? Don't they realize that parents quit trying by about March? Anyway, we were required to transform Winnie into a historical figure for her living museum day. We went with the author Louisa May Alcott. I scraped up every bit of end-of-school-year-energy I had to sew this dress for her. She looked extremely transcendental, right?

Here she is at the museum next to Albert Einstein and Emelia Earhart.  They had to have their history memorized and recite it if you pushed their button.  Okay, it was a lot of work but was really enjoyable!

Winnie also received a couple more awards for her essay. Klive hopes to be such a high achiever someday!

And we did it! We made it to the last day of school! I'm still not sure why June had to wear cowboy boots. Maybe it's a middle school thing?

We were happy and sad all rolled into one.  Winn had to say farewell to Caden, who was heading off to Boise. He will always hold a special place in her heart.

We also said goodbye to Ms. Simpson.  She was a fantastic third grade teacher!
