We weren't going to let a broken arm slow us down! Klive has been obsessed with Ghostbusters for well over a year now and I'm pretty sure he decided on a Ghostbusters birthday party the very first time he saw the movie - the original, that is! We love the new one, but classic Ghostbusters can't be topped!
We'd planned a big camping trip to Yellowstone with the Johnsons and Ivies and were all set to embark later that day, so why not have a birthday breakfast?
Kolby, the girls and I spookified the house!
We turned our kitchen into a ghostly nightmare with glowing eyes and spooky ghosts wreaking havoc on the city. Okay, it looked cooler at night when everything glowed in the dark, but it was still pretty fun!
We feasted on proton pancakes with slime syrup, Gozer dogs, ecto-coolers and plenty of spooky toppings!
Those Twinkies (specially ordered from Amazon) had green filling! And the marshmallows were shaped like ghosts!
Dad even made a Slimer jello-mold! I wish it had photographed better - it was amazing!
All the cousins were given official badges and proton packs full of goodies!
When our bellies were full, it was time to bust some ghosts!
Our ever-impressive Nana Deb made a target-practice Slimer!
The newbie Ghostbusters practiced their skills shooting mini-mallows through Slimer's mouth with these awesome marshmallow blow guns!
And no Ghostbuster's party would be complete without a visit from the big guy! Aunt Misty begged, pleaded, lobbied and auditioned for the role! She didn't disappoint! She was the perfect choice to terrorize our town! Rander is probably still recovering from the emotional scars of watching his "eflated" mommy devour neighborhood children!
The Ghostbusters kept Puffy at bay with their silly string ray guns. No children or mallow mans were harmed in the making of this birthday! However, our lawn may not grow back next year!
Klive got lots of good loot from his cousins and neighbor friends!
He had to use his non-dominant arm, but he gave this party a thumb way up!
