What a great team! June had a blast playing with these great girls. We gave everyone a softball headband at the end of the season and they all wore them to the tournament. June's batting average improved and I think she only struck out once the whole season. She took a bad slide into home and scored, but also ripped a huge hole in her leg. Her pitching was phenomenal! I was so glad Yaya and Nana got to come to one of her games this year. Yaya got to watch her pitch and bring her team back to win after being down by 10 points. I love it when she's cool under pressure. That's one of her greatest talents!
She finished up softball with a second-place medal in the tournament. She had to skip a couple of days at girls camp to play in the tournament, and she played great! Her pitching has come a long way since starting lessons with Morgan last year. She can "paint" the corners and throw change-ups now. She would look over at me on the grass and give me a sign for the pitch she was going to throw and then she would do it! I was amazed! I love watching her play ball!
