If you ever want to experience the entire world in one day, Epcot is the place to go! It may not have the most rides (which is why we have always avoided it) but the scenery is awesome!
We hit the rides first! I got Winn on Mission Space with me and Nana. June, Kolby and Papa rode the scary, g-force version and we rode the weenie one, but it was still pretty cool! I am now wondering where Klive was for all this riding. Hmmm. Well he made it home, so someone was watching him.
Poor Klive was too small to do the ride where you design your own car and roller coaster race. He pretended that sitting in the stationary one outside the building was good enough. Poor kid. At least he has a good imagination.
The girls liked it, but they both agreed that the Cars on in California is better.
This was June waiting for the ride inside the big, silver Epcot ball. And that's about how exciting the ride was once we were inside. It took us through a tour of the history of technology. Only history teacher Mom and weirdo Klive liked this one.
The bulk of our Epcot day was spent eating! First, we headed to Mexico for some churros, chips, guac and queso.
Then we headed over to the orient . . .
Kolby said the Japanese buildings, shrines and statues looked very authentic.
Wouldn't you know, it was already time for lunch!
We went Japanese, of course, and had our food cooked right in front of us while our chef put on a show with oils, onions and and assortment of spatulas!
No one enjoys a good lunch like Winnie! She said it's because she was born exactly at noon. She is ALWAYS hungry. Not sure where she puts it though!
After lunch, we explored the Japanese koi ponds, pagoda buildings, and bonsai trees!
June really appreciated all the Japanese pop culture displays - Everything looks like a life-size cartoon!
Next, we headed to France for dessert - gelato and french macaroons! Recognize that cute little guy?
Just taking advantage of our photo pass again!
Yaya and the Babe
The Botts
Nana, Papa and Chip
Our bellies were begging for mercy by the end of the day! We didn't even have room for tea and crumpets in England!
I wish I could have had a better view, but my favorite part of the whole day was watching the Canadian, plaid-clad lumberjacks hot-foot it in some fierce log rolling battles! It was amazing! They rolled like the wind and never fell off! I was too enthralled in the battle to get my phone out for a picture!
We wrapped up the night on Dory and Nemo's ride and saw some amazing, conservation gardening techniques. Kolby took notes so we could do some vertical, hydroponic gardening at home.
By night 6, we almost had to pry their eyes open for a picture! They still managed to pull on their swimming suits when we got home and hit the pool every night for some midnight swimming!
I'm glad we finally gave Epcot a try! Best place to go when you are hungry!
