The girls started school again. June headed off to 7th grade and Winnie to 4th grade with Mrs. Hill. Dad made sure he sent them off with the luck of a magical unicorn. Seriously, he has developed an addiction to the unicorn head. You might notice a little face in the background. Kindergartner Klive got a couple extra days of summer and he didn't mind at all!
What do you do when you've got your dad all to yourself? Yard work, of course! Nobody mans that leaf blower like young master Klive, even with a broken arm!
We also snuck in a quick lunch date at Buffalo Wild Wings. Poor sisters were hitting the books hard and didn't appreciate baby brother rubbing in his special time with Dad. His carefree days were numbered though!
Baby boy's big day finally came - Kindergarten! He caught a ride to school on the magical unicorn!
This was a pretty tough day for Mom. It's pretty heartbreaking to lose your last little sidekick at home, but he was ready, so I did my best to keep it together.
Why do they all want to leave me!?
Here's my big boy all lined up and ready for his first day with Mrs. Johnson.
He never even looked back! I waited to cry until I got in the car.
I went home, cleaned, scrubbed, ran errands and did everything I could to fill the day until pickup time! Look who loved his first day of school! Kudos to the teacher who bribed the newbies with chocolate! Best idea ever!
