Spring Break 2016

We have discovered that the most popular vacation spot for Pokies to spend spring break is St. George and Zions National Park.  Everyone raved about trading snow and cold for sun and fun, so we decided to give it a try.  We should have know our Johnson luck (or lack thereof) would put a damper on things. It was FREEZING!  So cold that our windshield's chip turned into a giant crack overnight!

We tried to have fun anyway! We took the kids out to Glitter Mountain and let them play 7 dwarfs on the mountainside.

You can chip away at the glass-like rocks and take home lots of mementos that crumble to pieces and clog up your vacuum!

We escaped the wind and cold at our hotel's heated, indoor pool. That made the whole trip worth it!

We also did a few hikes in Zions.  It was PACKED with people!

It may not have turned out to be the warmest vacation, but any trip is great with this group!

Before we headed home, we took June to do baptisms at the new Payson Temple.  It was her first time and Yaya got to join us, so that made it special. We were the only ones there in the afternoon on a school day, so June got to visit with the temple president for a few minutes. She had a lovely time!
