During the cold, dreary month of January, 4 girls concocted a plan. A plan to surprise one great lady, Yaya Julie, with the surprise birthday trip of her lifetime! That was the easy part. The hard part was keeping our big mouths shut about it for 4 months. Well, that and secretly getting someone to cover Yaya's shifts at the post office! The best part was texting about how dumb Yaya was because she didn't know what was coming!
The day finally came! Two sweet daughters ripped Yaya from a deep Ambien slumber at 4:00 a.m. and told her to put on a special sweatshirt and headband! Why? We're going to Disneyland, sucker!
Two other sweatshirt-clad daughters met the group at the airport and off we went!
We did it all! Grilled cheese and tomato soup at the Jolly Holiday!

The fun never ends when you hang out with this group! I'm glad Kolby has so many sisters and such a great mom who have always made me feel like I belong!
We had to keep the secret from our children - who would inevitably slip up and spoil the secret, but I did tell them a few days before we went. Klive was so pissed that he wasn't invited. He promised me that Mickey Mouse was going to punch me in the face! Ouch!
I think we made Yaya's birthday dreams come true. She was depressed all year that she was going to miss the 60th anniversary at Disney. She's so dumb!
We even managed to sneak in to the Blue Bayou Restaurant at Pirates for a birthday dinner! It was totally magical!
