Discovery Cove - Day 3

Kolby and I visited Discovery Cove for our honeymoon. We've always kept a snow globe with a picture of us swimming with Natalie, a young, friendly dolphin, on our dresser.  The kids have asked a million questions about it from the time they all could carry pull it down and shake it.  We were thrilled to finally let them experience it for themselves!  It was so nice to return to this special place so many years (despite a few more pounds and gray hairs) later and share it with our family!

The toughest part of the day was trying to squeeze ourselves like sausages into our wet suits! Don't even get me started on how hard it was to talk myself into stripping down and visiting the bathroom! It was almost a two-man job!

We swam with a few cool dude rays!

We enjoyed the beautiful cave scenery and animal sanctuaries!

We did a lot of good old relaxing!

We love Discovery Cove because they never overbook it like most theme parks.  We enjoyed a peaceful day lounging on quite beaches, snorkeling with tropical fish, drifting around the lazy river beneath waterfalls, and feeling very brave swimming next to a glass shark tank! Klive was all about the sharks!

We got our hands on a few special land dwelling creatures, too! I think we even talked Aunt Misty into visiting the bird sanctuary - way to conquer your fears, Mist!

The big finale of our day was taking our girls into the dolphin pools for a very special swim time! Poor Klive, he wasn't old enough.  He sat on the sidelines with Nana and watched.  It must have been fate, because Natalie was our dolphin and she brought along her calf!  Looks like we both became mamas since we last met!
