The Sandbox

Klive's closet full of "digger" trucks were begging for a place to stretch their buckets and dig.  So we looked up sandboxes on Amazon, found the perfect one, and then decided, stupidly, that we could build our own for a lot cheaper.  We sweet-talked Kolby into taking on a "little" project on his week off.  You can see by the enthusiastic way he laid on the floor, he was super excited about it!  He's a good dad though.  He eventually got up and got to work with his super crew!

I suppose we were able to twist dad's arm when we bought him a new saw, shovel and wheelbarrow to get the job done.  Everyone pitched in to help paint, hammer and saw.

Our fellow, digger-loving Bott cousins showed up just in time for the big dirt dump in the front yard!

Check out that sweet box!  Kolby's design allowed us to have bench seats that fold down into a cover to keep the cats out!

After about 100 trips to load up Klive's mini-wheelbarrow with sand from the driveway, and the sandbox was ready for digger fun!

This is the face of one dirty, happy boy!  Thanks, Dad!
