It finally came! The last day of school! And (said with a tear in my eye) June's last day of elementary school :( It was definitely a rainy last day of school, but that didn't stop anyone from enjoying field day! Kolby and I were in charge of slip-n-slide kickball. Imagine a baseball diamond with slip-n-slides into each base. The rain definitely made things slippery! I think we only had a few head cracks from students who chose (against our advice) to run across the slip-n-slides rather than dive and slide on their stomachs.
The girls LOVED their teachers this year! June had Ms. Brown. She really challenged her to become a better writer this year. But June's favorite thing about Ms. Brown was her party days - they got to play Just Dance on the big screen for every celebration!
Winnie also loved having Mrs. Winn. It was her final year of teaching, and she made it a great one! Winnie has really lucked out and had teachers who help her come out of her shell and have confidence in herself.
Klive had a fantastic last day of school tagging along for field day. His wildest dreams came true when the bell rang and all the kids had to head inside to get their backpacks and lunchboxes. He got the giant bouncy slide all to himself!
