Oooooo-klahoma (part 1)

We braved the open roads and drove out to visit our cousins in Oklahoma just in time for the 4th of July.

We headed right to Aunt Becky's grand celebration and picked up right where we left off!
You'll notice Winnie is missing in every holiday picture.  Yep, she's still terrified of loud noises and fireworks are number one on that list.  I'm pretty sure she was hiding under the table inside the house.

We didn't waste a minute of our 2+ weeks with our cousins.  We introduced them to "Dark Lord Funk," put on fashion shows, played at the park, went to the movies, watch the women's world cup (go USA!), and of course we visited the zoo!

We MISS the Oklahoma City zoo like crazy!  We used to go to the zoo almost every week when we lived in Oklahoma.

My favorite stump-looking bird was still alive and well.  Phewf!!!

I remember when June and Amos were the size of Klive and Hazel stomping around the zoo.  When did they get so big?

I won't lie, I doubt we'll ever get used to the intense Oklahoma heat.  Even the kid's cool-off creek was like a hot tub!

The whole cousin crew.  I sure do love this bunch!

 Elephants . . .

 sting rays . . .

 and sea lions!

Plus a quick trip through the aviary.

And that's just the first week of cousin fun!
