Yer a Wizard, Winnie!

We experienced a bit of deja vu at Winnie's 10th birthday party. We reincarnated June's Harry Potter party - it was just too good to not do it again! We added a few new magical trinkets to our extensive HP party supplies!

These fancy candlesticks will work for almost every party we throw - but they worked especially well for dinner in the great hall. Our table was also littered with informative pages right out of the Daily Prophet!

This corridor takes you right to the Gryffindor's tower, and Kolby built this amazing whomping willow to bash curious wizards who got too close!

You can't visit the wizarding world and not stop in at Honeydukes!

The mandrakes were just about ready for harvest! Grab your earmuffs!

And this time our animal-loving birthday girl requested an owlry.

A few owls soared in with deliveries for the party . . .

. . . and the party guests got to take home a fluffy friend!

We all had to watch out for the circling dementors overhead.  We didn't want to have our souls sucked out!

Professor Mcgonagall was ready to pounce on tardy students and Aragog hid out in the whomping willow ready to attack mischievous students sneaking around the Forbidden Forest.

Here's our Hogwart's feast - always my favorite part!

And a few more special guests showed up to party!

The ministry was just a flush away!

We welcomed our first years . . .

. . . who were sorted and sent to the great hall for dinner!

It was a little frivolous, but I made everyone a shirt with their house tie. My kids still wear them, so it was worth it, right?!

Butterbeer - always a crowd pleaser!

When we finished eating, we mixed love potions. The tiny vials could be worn as necklaces and slipped into an unsuspecting crush's drink!

We used Hagrid's magic umbrella wands to transport dragon eggs!

We told each other's fortunes in divination.

Professor Trelawney made sure they were all using their inner eye to see the future!

After a long day of magical classes, we sang to wizard Winnie, ate Hagrid's cake and opened presents.

Nice legs, baby wizard!

It's always a bit depressing, like the day after Christmas when you have to take down all the magical HP decorations and shove them back in a box. Good thing June's planning on having a Harry Potter themed escape room for her birthday in March! We may be a little obsessed!
