Our First Disney Cruise!

In November we finally got around to celebrating our 15-year anniversary in a big way - With Yaya and the Babe who were celebrating their 40th anniversary . . . on a Disney cruise . . . without kids!!!!

We took the red eye into Orlando and had a couple of days to kill before the cruise.  We have discovered that you can still have fun in Disney World on only 2 hours sleep.

All it takes is a lot of sugar and caffeine!

Butterbeer . . . that can only mean one thing!

We spent day #2 at HP world! You know we can't go to Florida and not visit the magical realm!

We set sail on day #3. That's Miami behind us and a fruity drink in my hand!

Here's our cabin door! Wreck-it Ralph style!

Our first destination was the Bahamas!

Nothing wrong with snorkeling in the comfort of your lawn chair, right?

The water was warm and crystal clear! Kolby turns into a little kid when we pull out the snorkeling gear!

Leave it to these two to find Captain Morgan!

We spent the 4th day at sea exploring the cruise ship.  Apparently we took no pictures - but it was filled with fun - movies it the floating movie theater, fantastic live shows, games, fruity drinks, gift shops, pirate deck parties, swimming, water sliding, etc. Now back to the beaches!

Our last beach day was on Disney's private island - Castaway Cay! One side of the island has a beach dedicated to mean moms and dads who go on Disney cruises and leave their kids home! Kolby snorkeled for hours and I took the best nap of my life! For some reason, I've got a fruity drink in my hand in most of the pictures!

Did I mention the food? Well if beaches took up 50% of our trip, then eating took up the other 50%!  Disney offers a new restaurant for you to eat in each night.  This one was my favorite - The Artist's Palette.  You are surrounded by Disney sketches that go from a few scribbled lines to complete animated movies while you eat!

I used to spend my childhood evenings pretending to be a Disney animator.  I could live in this room!

It was super fun to spend our anniversary with these two! 40 years is a major accomplishment in a marriage these days! I love how good they are to each other. The trip was fantastic - right up until they slid the bill for fruity drinks under our door on the last day - it was as much as a car payment!  We didn't even add alcohol! Well, no one can say we didn't have fun!

Happy belated 15th to this guy!

Kolby's the best decision I ever made.  I love our life together! I love that we still laugh insanely hard over stupid jokes and movie quotes, I have a deep respect and appreciation for how hard he works to be a good husband, father and provider and I love him for choosing me and our family every day!

Bring on the fruity drinks and the next 15!
