Winters are long, cold, long, dark, long, snowy and long in Idaho! It's the little things that get us through! Like snuggling up to watch a good movie, or having an epic, indoor light saber battle.
I know Klive's favorite part of the winter - getting his second cast off! Now mom can panic every time he runs, jumps, looks over his shoulder while walking, or sets foot on ice! He's been given strict instructions from Dr. Esplin to avoid participating in any activity that could cause a re-break. So basically, he's forbidden to do anything in his normal 6-year-old routine!
Sledding right after cast removal? Now doesn't that sound like a good idea?! We got pounded with snow this year, and Nana and Papa's house on the summit had drifts as tall as the backyard fence, we couldn't resist!
Toods turns into a seal in the snow. His paws become flippers and his body just slides down the slopes.
Snow angels seem like a pretty safe bet!
Might as well enjoy the sun while it's shining!
We welcome visits from the cousins to break up the monotony of winter. Frozen yogurt goes perfectly with frosty, frozen weather!
After blizzard #4 and breaking my back with a shovel in the driveway this year, we finally caved and bought a snow blower. Kolby and his sidekick were pretty excited to test it out. There's nothing like doing all that manly snow blowing and then kicking your pink, pygmy-puffs up to relax after a hard day's work!
