Chef June

June has really enjoyed her first year as a Beehive in our church's Young Women's program. She has been working hard to complete her Personal Progress.  For one of her projects, she decided to roll up her sleeves and spend some time in the kitchen learning to cook for our family of five.  She even took it a step further and did all the food shopping, which taught her all about budgeting in the process.  Her first meal may have been simple - cream peas and tuna on toast - but it was nutritious and delicious.  She ended the second week by upping her game and preparing a roast, carrots and mashed potatoes and gravy for Sunday dinner! I do believe she has found a whole new respect for her parents, who buy and prepare food every day to keep their kids alive!
