I'm not going to lie, my two little chicks have never been very "girly." I hate to admit it, but I allow them to go days without bathing and they are usually like dogs, as soon as they are sparkling clean, they like to go out and roll around in the yard until they are covered in mud, sometimes dog poop, and always cuts, bruises and mosquito bites. It was a bit of a surprise this morning when June requested that I do her hair and I was floored when she asked to wear a dress and necklace. Winnie followed suit and even left this headband in for more than five minutes! I'm not sure if we have finally entered into the girly phase, but I documented it just the same. Here are my pretty girls all dressed up for a day on the town!

A little sisterly love!

Here they are striking a pose!

June "Babe-alicious" Johnson

And dainty little Winn. No your eyes are not playing tricks on you, that is the giant "Ivie" gap between her front teeth. We pray that a few more will come in and close the great divide!

Very cute! Sounds like you have a couple little tomboys on your hands! It was probably fun for you and them to be girly, even if it is for a day. I love the gap in Winnie's teeth! The good thing about that is that there is a lot of room for her adult teeth to come in and they should be straight. (this is the DH coming out in me:) She is darling either way!
I think the girls look so cute. I think its funny when they want to get dressed up. My kids will never want to get dressed up. I can barely get Kade to wear a collared shirt. BTW I love your family pictures they are so cute.
Jess, of course I remember you! I'm so glad you found us. That's one of the great things about the blog world. It's such a great way to find people and see what they're up to! Your daughters are adorable. I gotta tell you that I LOVE their names. June was actually on our baby girl list. We didn't end up using it, but I still love it! And I am diggin' Winnie. They seem hilarious from those pictures --- lots of personality. You guys look like you're doing really well!
I'll have to add you to my blog list, so I can check in and see what you guys are up to every now and then!
Thank you for showing the world what cute nieces I have. I may have stinky boys (seriously, Tukkers fingernails are already dirty... explain to me how that happens in an incubator in the NICU???), but I can show off my cute nieces!
haa. I love Winns pouty lips... and the gap, hey Madonna has it, whats the big? :)
Those are some fine looking ladies! Maybe Arlee rubbed off on June a bit when they played- I wish at times Arlee wasn't so girly. And to settle the slide arguement...I think it's a 4 1/2 foot slide. It was given to us by a neighbor 3 or 4 years ago so who knows where it came from. Maybe thats the way they use to make them now for safty reasons all they have are the wimpy small ones. Good luck searching.
Hey June, this is Arlee - Winnie loves me when I say RRRAAAAHh...she really really laughs. I'm really sorry that I was trying to win and pushed you back so...I'm just playing with dora, OH I need my monkey, I'll be right back.
I really love you June. I was playing a soccor game last night, if was really fun. I didn't score a goal though but I was runnin' super fast, yep I sure was, June. Well Bye.
I just think winnie is so stinking cute I just want to sqeeze her don't worry about the teeth uncle Spencer will help fix them if they don't fix themselves.
Your girls are adorable! i just found out I'm having a girl and I'm kinda hoping that she won't be girly! i love your family pics too! Your girls have the most beautiful eyes! So the first thing I'm going to do when I get to seattle is go to Forks, Washington. I'll be looking for Edward!
