Baby bump and the winter blues . . .

This is my first pregnancy as a blogger, so I figured I had better get around to documenting it. Things have been pretty rough this third time around. I didn't think things could get much worse than carrying June, but this little tadpole is taking it's toll.

So far, I have endured a month and a half of uncontrollable nausea and a wicked gag reflex that keeps me clutching the toilet. Also, the reflux has been murder on my guts and throat. I'm not a big day-time napper, but I don't remember ever feeling this tired with a pregnancy. I think it has something to do with trying to keep up with two little sisters who never slow down. I just keep telling myself that this is my last pregnancy and so I'm trying to focus on the miracle of life rather than the feeling of being at death's door.

Here's my baby bump at 14 weeks. It pretty much just popped out around Christmas time. I guess when your gut has already been stretched to the max twice before, it's pretty accommodating to the third peanut.

We've also been hit by a bad case of the winter blues. Oklahoma has given us some pretty warm winters over the past couple of years, but this year has been just one snow or ice storm after another. In fact, June has been out of school for 4 snow days, and that's not counting the 5 days we were snowed in over the holiday vacation. The kids have made the most of the snow, but we are really ready for spring.

Looks like we're just going to have to hang in there until mother nature gives us a break.

Hey there Baby Bumperella. Your belly is not so big. It reminds me of when bread just starts to rise out of the pan. Before you know it you have a lovely loaf cooked to perfection and then ... Spring will arrive in all of it's glory, the morning sickness will be but a faint memory and you will start nesting for the new little chicken that will hatch out this August. Hang in there. Love MuM

You have the cutest baby bump ever - my bumps look like bread dough that had the yeast left out. We are sooo excited for you guys!! That's a bummer that this one has been so rough - I'm sure it's due to the fact you are chasing crazy winnie all day. (jk) When do you find out what you are having??! I can't wait! Keep documenting the swelling midsection!

I was a WHOLE LOT more tired with my third, too. And would you believe it? A boy :) Also, I fell in LOVE with Pepcid AC from all heartburn I got. It kept it far away most of the time. Good luck!

Well, the kid might be trying to kill you, but the bump is cute. I hope you feel better soon. And I hope you get some sunshine soon.

Oh-Jess I feel so bad that you have such a hard time with pregnancy. I know it takes a toll on your body after eveyone. The third was the hardest for me. I do awsome during my preg. but for some reason my body hurt constantly. I don't undrstand how people can have 10 kids. I hope things get better for ya in soon.

Jess you look SO cute! But that SUCKS feeling sick and tired all the time especially with two other kids to worry about. But the good news.... Your two girls are adorable! I bet they are so fun to hang out with. They both sound hysterical. The third will fit in perfect!
