It was a big day for June and me today. We had an official "Big Girls' Day Out" and thoroughly enjoyed
High School Musical on Ice. June felt like a big girl because she got to spend some time with just mom and enjoy her first live show (although she referred to it as "the movie" all day). I felt like a big girl because I drove all over Oklahoma City by myself and didn't get lost! I would have included a picture of both gals, but we had to run a mile through a down-pour and I looked like a drowned rat, not flattering. June is the only girl I know who can pull off the wet look.

The show was great! Our seats were nearly in the nosebleed section, but it was almost better that way, we didn't miss a single trick from such great heights! June sang and danced the entire time! When the skaters would ask for audience participation, June wore out her little lungs screaming right back at them.

June has watched High School Musical one and two on the Disney Channel several times, but I had no idea that she knew the music so well. For those who have seen the show, one of the boys admits that he plays the cello. June shot me a look of confusion, and asked, "Mom, that's pretty weird, how do you play the jell-o?"

She sang the whole way home, and added a bit of June flair: "What time is it? It's suffocation!" Oh well, I like June's lyrics better than the original anyway!

I'm totally jealous of your girls day out. Arlee and I do things like that but it usually only involves going to get groceries. Thats right, we know how to party it up. Maybe once in a while we will swing by Artic Circle for a ice cream but we dont want to get to wild so we only involve ice cream once in awhile.
June, this is Arlee. Was it really fun? Did you get to ice skate? I love you June. I didn't want to take a nap but Dewie had too. Bye.
You are such a good mommy. you do the funnest things with your kids. They are luck to have you for a mommy.
BTW- if you are waiting for me to have a kid first, it might be a while. My insurance stinks and until I can fork out 5k for a kid, it won't be happening.
June is ADORABLE!!! How fun to have adaughter old enough that you can enjoy a day out together I can't wait for Sofie to be able to do that.
hmmm... I guess I need to see HSM, one and two. Then maybe June and I can be friends. Glad you ahd a good "big girls" night out!
I love High School Muscial. They had it on ice in Salt Lake and all the girls in my family went except me because I have boys. It looks like such a blast I can't wait for the number 3 movie to come out.
I can't wait for you guys to move back to Utah so I can borrow your girlies for a girls' day. I guess you could probably come, too. Heh heh heh
