January. It's a tough month for me, as usual. I wish I could put on a happy face like these two. It's hard to pack away all the Christmas magic in the basement, and then it's just one day after another of cold, dark, dreariness. We had to make a few trips to keep our sanity.

We headed to Utah to spend some time with our fun-loving cousins. Here's a look at the crew slumbering in
Yaya and the Babe's bedroom.

We couldn't pass up a visit to Aunt Jodi and Uncle Mark's new pad with a swimming pool.

Swimming indoors helps you tolerate the terrible weather outside.
Tukker. You just can't say no to that cute face - crazy teeth and all!

A little pool-side baseball? Why not.

The truth is, January would have been more bearable if
Kolby didn't get shipped off to Boise all months for a pediatric rotation. We could only handle the separation for two weeks and then had to pay him a weekend visit. He had a cute little apartment and the kids couldn't get enough of the view from the 3rd floor balcony. These kids, easy to please.
Klive was growing quite the mane last month, so we decided to take him in for his first real cut.

Here he is with his new hair-do. Pretty handsome,
ey?

Before we knew it, it was February, and we were feeling the love. Winnie and I spent Valentines Day making these cupcakes for a holiday party.
Klive was feeling the love for his two
binkies. It may be a slight problem breaking him of this habit.

I was blessed with a special birthday visit from Grandma Sara, Aunt Darby, and our
Bott buddies on February 18. We took a little trip to Lava Hot Springs, ate some Thai food, and
Kolby and I enjoyed a much-needed date night while we had some great babysitters around.

Here's June's special present to me. She worked for days to create a celebratory Lego birthday message for me. What a great idea! What a sweet girl.

And Winnie worked hard on this beautiful pony masterpiece for my big day. Loved it, love them. These dudes make it so much easier to chip away at those old winter blues.
