We've had a year to acclimate to Oklahoma weather. But it still doesn't feel right to be sitting in a wading pool under the hot sun in October like we did last week. We've been craving a cool breeze for weeks now and it finally blew in today! It felt so nice to pull on our cozy fall jackets and warm pants and head out to the pumpkin patch!
We picked out some gorgeous gourds and have planned a pumpkin carving play-date for tomorrow. We'll post some pictures of our spooky creations by the end of the week.
Here's a cute shot of the girls in their stylish new sweat suits. You would have thought it was Christmas morning for June when she saw her new warm clothes sitting out for her after her bath. Poor thing, she shot up like a bean-pole this summer, so she outgrew all of her warm clothes from last year. If only she would fill out a bit so I wouldn't have to pin her sweats to stay up over her lack of a bum. And under June's tutelage, Winnie has started pulling silly faces instead of smiles at every Polaroid moment.

ha ha! That first photo is my classic. Your girls are great Jess, I love your fam! xx ps. yeah for almost Christmas... THEN easter!!!! ;)
Your pumpkin pictures are so cute. It's getting cold here too. We have to start defrosting the car in Rexburg in the mornings. Yikes! I am so impressed you guys started your own preschool! Nice job! Maybe one day I can send our kids to it. haha...by the rate our public education is going, I'll want a plan B.
Awww cute pics Jess!! I am soo jealous it was 100 degrees here today and I would give my toenails to have cool fall weather!!! ENJOY ENJOY!!
Oh I love the fall too. It is such a great time and it really is getting close to Christmas. What cute little outfits for your girls. So, onto your last post. I think that is great that you guys are doing your own pre-school. I hate that I have to feel like a bad mommy that I don't have my 2 year old lined up for pre-school and I think that it is a rip-off to spend $75 a month for it. Since when do kids need 3 years of pre-school, well even 2 whole years? I just don't get it.
I love the pumpkin patch picture! Your all so beautiful!
Jill
Oh yea, and way to go on your own pre-school! That is such a great idea
Hey I have an idea on how to personalize your carpets. what about paint and stencils? it's the one thing i can't get out of carpet!!! A friend of mine sent me this site to try home school preschool.

were going to start using it this month!
If it makes you feel any better- I had my kids in the wading pool last week too- in Idaho! Fun idea to suprise them after a bath.
I have done the paint on the carpets too- the craft kind for 89 cents. You could let the kids put their hand prints or foot prints.... or you make the same design on all of them so there isn't anything to fight about.
Tell Junie that Caulder loved the note she left him on our blog. Yesterday we went to granny's for dinner and Jordan was there. When we walked in the laundry room CJ heard her talking and his eyes lit up. He yelled, "I think June's here!" He was one disappointed boy (not that he doesn't like Jordan - he just really misses Junie). Tell the girlies we miss them both and can't wait for Christmas. We'll start working on our hot chocolate snowcone recipe so they can play out in the cabin without freezing.
Jessica, Hey thanks for posting on my blog. You have such beautiful girls. You look just as I remember you. I also noticed Steph Swendsen. Do you two live by one another? Well happy harvest. Erin
