Welcome to sick bay. The flu struck our house this week. I blame the usual culprit - nursery. There's nothing like being awakened from a dead sleep by the sound of your baby puking her guts out on her freshly washed sheets and blankets! I hate it when my kids are sick. I have awful pregnancies and I throw up for the entire nine months, so a 24-hour flu is like a cake walk for me. I ache more for my babies when they get sick. I just sit and rock them all day and sing little songs in their ears. Even Daddy had to take a sick day this time. It has been my experience that the only thing that is more work than taking care of a sick baby is taking care of a sick husband. Lets face it, women are so much tougher when they get sick. When I have the flu, I still clean the house, take care of the kids, even make dinner. When Kolby gets sick, he lays in bed all day moaning while his little wife tends to his every need. I don't mind really, I just think that it should be acknowledged that moms are tough cookies, that's all. I knew I shouldn't disturb their slumber, but I just couldn't resist taking this picture. I guess sick daddies make the best pillows.

Poor Little Lambs

Amen to sick husbands! What wimps! J/K! Your little girl is so cute, even though she's sick... what an angel! So good to keep in touch with you!
Man, what a bummer. A sick family is no fun. This winter has been the worst for us. We all have been so sick, if it isn't one, it is the other three. And, I totally agree with you... mom's are way tougher than dad's:) Good luck with the sick kiddo's.
Isn't it funny how your big strong man can be reduced to asking for a drinky drink while sick :) It's a good thing they rarely get sick! Your little girl looks so sweet and snuggly even though she is sick. What a cutie. Good Luck getting through the weekend!
Nine months of barfing!!! I was sick for 6 1/2 with Tylee and swore I would never get pregnant again! Truly the worst time of my life!
Even though sick kids really are the worst, I have to admit that I love the fact that it seems to be the only time I can get mine to sit still and cuddle with me!
Next time I'm sick, I think I'll call you and you can sing to me okay!!:)

My husband gets on the phone and calls everyone and tell them his symptoms to see if they have the same thing. I think its so funny.

When Jas is sick, oh- where do I start? The moaning.... He has finally after almost 8 years learned that I have no sympathy. When moms are sick, we clean, wipe, chase toddlers, etc.

I don't know how you did it, but you got us sick! After I read this, my baby started to throw up.... I guess it was a computer virus.
